Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I use the LCD Screens?
LCD Screens can be used in the windows and the interiors of retail stores, office reception areas, museums, travel information offices, government departments, schools and colleges, on exhibition stands.

Do you need specialist knowledge to upload the digital media?
No, the media can be easily uploaded by non technical staff.

What type of files can I run on the display screen?

You can have a mixture of still images, video files and sound files to create stunning presentations. Media can literally be changed in minutes by downloading data on to a compact flash card. The unit runs jpegs, mpeg 1 & 2 and MP3 files.

How do you get the images and media onto the screen?
Simply download your images and media onto a compact flash card. All CF cards will work but for video use high speed cards only (x 40) This ensures that the video image runs smoothly. You will require a standard CF card reader (USB).

Can I edit the content directly from on the screen?
Yes, A remote control allows you to edit slide shows, delete jpegs, adjust the sound and a lot more. You cannot edit the video files (i.e. mpeg 1 & 2) -this will have to be done on your PC, before loading the media files onto your CF card.

How much space will I need to allow for my display?
The units are incredibly slim -only 53 mm in deep. This design has totally revolutionised the way you can incorporate multi-media presentations in your displays., as you require very little space.

How do I select the correct method of supporting the LCD screen in my premises or on my exhibition stand?
The LCD units are extremely light and compacted and run from low-voltage power. This means you have numerous options:

  1. Integrate the LCD screen into a suspended rod display which can be fixed between floor and ceiling or ceiling suspended only.
  2. Fix the unit to a wall or panel
  3. Mount the unit on to a free-standing post or frame
  4. Counter top display
  5. Standard Vesa mounts

How does the power get to the unit?

  1. On the suspended rod displays, the power passes via the supporting pencil slim rods with a 12 volt current. What this means is that you see no visible power supply and a transformer is normally positioned in a suspended ceiling or hidden discreetly.
  2. Where a digital screen is mounted directly to the wall or fitted onto a freestanding unit, a transformer is plugged directly into the back of the screen and the cable management is made as discreet as possible.

In both cases you will either need an electrical spur or a 3 pin plug.

Do I need an installer to fit the units?
All suspended units powered via the rod system must be fitted by an trained installer. Free-standing units powered with a transformer which plugs directly into the LCD screen are simple to install by following easy assembly instructions, thus making the units ideal for use on exhibition stands and non permanent displays.

We can provide a full national installation service. All units are fully guaranteed, plus comprehensive maintenance contracts are available.
